Screamland is Official
• December 2007: This update is long overdue, but I am happy
to announce that March 2008 will see the launch of my new comic,
Screamland, published by Image Comics. Screamland
was written by Harold
Sipe and illustrated by me. I have posted the covers to issue
#1 and #2, as well as some sample pages, in the Comics Section.
SCREAMLAND #1
Written by Harold Sipe
Art and cover by Hector Casanova
Where have the old Hollywood monsters gone? In the age of computer
graphics and green screen, the answer ain't pretty. Having lost
all of his money in a dot-com scheme, Frankenstein's Monster is
content to drink the days away. When a chance at work drops in his
lap, can he sober up long enough to cash in? Will the whole affair
end in pitchforks and torches?
32 pages, $2.99, in stores on March 12.

I will post links to Image's site when they announce the book.

Both are autobiographical stories about children being faced with
the prospect of the supernatural, and the loss of innocence that
follows. One's a ghost story, one's a God story; both are illustrated
with strikingly unconventional mixed-media art, from photo collage
to white gouche on black paper. This is a very limited print run,
so get it while it lasts.

Here's people worth looking at. Yep, most of them are my friends.
I pimp them; they pimp me; and then we all sleep together in our
bed of money. That's how it works.
